COACH PAIGE MASIELLO

Pitching Instructor

IMG_5823.jpg

Paige Masiello has been a natural on the softball field since the age of four, where her talent for pitching was apparent from the start. Despite her smaller stature, Paige quickly proved doubters wrong with her incredible skill and determination. Her ability to keep calm under pressure and surprise opponents with her control and precision became a defining characteristic of her game.

During her high school career, Paige achieved remarkable success. In her senior year, she posted a career-best 1.86 ERA over 165.1 innings, striking out 121 batters while only allowing 28 walks. Her consistency earned her First Team All-Passaic County honors in her sophomore, junior, and senior years. One of her most memorable performances came on senior night, where she pitched a complete 7-inning game, allowing only two hits and throwing just 54 pitches—a moment cherished by her sister Harley, who had been her pitching coach throughout her entire life.

Paige continued her career at Rutgers Newark, where she played for the Scarlet Raiders and was named Rookie Pitcher of the Week during her freshman season. Unfortunately, her college career was cut short by the COVID pandemic, but she left the game on a high note. Though she had a year of eligibility left in 2022, Paige made the decision to retire from softball and focus on her professional career as an accountant.

Today, Paige resides in Waldwick with her fiancé John and their dog Moose. She works as a Senior Auditing Accountant at CohnReznick, balancing her love for numbers with her passion for coaching. As a pitching coach at Diamond Elite Academy, Paige brings her wealth of experience and calm demeanor to help the next generation of athletes reach their full potential.
